Rain Continues to Fall (2021-present)
The images in this series act as an acknowledgment our innate connection to the earth. A reminder of our need to love the earth as an extension of ourselves. An invitation to de- centre ourselves from our illusory perspective of the world.
The images also search for how we can accept and embrace the ephemeral nature of our own consciousness, as part of our role as living beings. Perhaps we can find solace in knowing that long after we have returned to the earth, something continues - the birds sing, the wind moves through the trees, and the rain will continue to fall.
“After death, willing or not, the body serves, entering the earth. And so what was heaviest and most mute is at last raised up into song.”
- Wendell Berry
